By law, TASERS are only allowed to be carried by Police in the city of Pennsylvania. It is illegal for a citizen to carry a TASER or a stun gun in that city. If a citizen lives OUTSIDE of the Pennsylvania city limits they ARE allowed to carry a TASER or a stun gun.

A background check is necessary prior to purchasing the TASER X26 model because it is sent to the customer in an active state. But in order to activate or use the TASER C2, you need to call TASER International for a background felony check. Either way, you end up having to go through a background check in order to use the TASERS.
