you do not need to change your brakes, but the extra wait from the rims will burn up your brakes alot quicker. if u have the money it is best to put on some slotted roters
You wont have to replace the brakes, as far as the gearing im not so sure. I had a set of 22 inch rims on my truck and no problems with gearing or brakes, it all worked fine. But not sure about gearing in the long run. I had my rims on for a year with no problems
Yes 16 inch wheels do fit a 2005 gmc sierra. I have them on my truck, I think the front brakes need changed to fit the wheel.
Depends on your Ranger, the non 4 wheel drive take 9 inch rear brakes. The 4 wheel drive Rangers take 10 inch brakes.
