leadership potential
Well, you first have to spell it right...it is pediatrician. While in undergrad, keep up your grades and work really hard. Join extracurricular activities pertaining to your interests and major. For example, Biology majors could join the biology club, chemistry club, etc. There are many organizations that one can get involved in while in college. Also, community service is a must. Research during the summertime is a plus. You will then have to take an exam called the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) around your Junior year after having taken General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, and the lower level biology courses, including genetics. The test consists of 3 sections: physical sciences, verbal, and biological sciences. Good luck!

The past participle of "become" is also "become" as in "I have become a better person."
Many people have different opinions on this matter. Some become more outgoing actually, because to make up for "school socialism" they participate in non-school-related activities. However, others, who participate in none of these, can become isolated. Maybe a year or two of schooling, a few activities, or a new neighborhood friend could help. Mostly though, it just depends on the child's personality to begin that. Nothing can really change their outlook. Just support and encourage them in whatever path they should choose to take.
