No, categories and subcategories are based on need. If the site starts getting a lot of questions on a company (or any other subject), then a category will be added to help organize those questions.

If you look on the right of a lot of questions, it may show a video with 'Video Sponsor' written above it. You may also occasionally see an ad below your Blue Navigation bar here and there, and sometimes, even below the Answer and Ask search box, there will be Google ads below there when you are viewing some questions. All of those are sponsors who pay to get their ad on WikiAnswers, and that is how WikiAnswers is funded.
