Nope. Rounded gravel is fine.
Get to snails [same breed] put them in a tank with wet soil plenty of greens and in 1-2 week's they will mate and lay eggs
I would not recommend adding snails to any tank if you intend to have fish.
Yes snails can live in a fish tank, and they can breed.

Well i have some garden snails as pets and i put them in a fish tank so if you buy a fish tank then you can put them in there thanks for the question! xXx holly
if you have African land snails as pets you will no what they (your ones) like, every group of snails in a tank can share 1 peice of cuttle fish all you do is wash it and put it in the tank ontop of the mud and they will suck it to make there shell strong. BUT you need to wash it very well first or the gurms from it could cause them to die BUT you need to give them a bit or they WILL DIE ANYWAY.
put some leaves, soil, it's food and a little bit of water.
I have a 10 gallon tank and it holds 3 indian dwarf puffer fish/pea puffers. they love snail cuz they are small enough to suck out the snails. if you have a snail problem i would remove the fish from your tank and put a snail killing chemical in. i have also heard of snail traps you can put in your tank and not have to remove your fish. i would at fast because snails multiply VERY FAST, or you can smash them with your fingers. Also there are such things as ASSASSIN snails that will eat brown snails.
As long as they are not tropical. They like to eat algae and it is good if you have a lot of algae in your tank.
