No. Your normal brakes will still work even if the ABS Module is bad. You will however have no ABS function.

It is possible for the brakes to lock up on a 2000 Chevy Venture when in reverse because the brakes are not working properly. Perhaps the brake pads need to be changed.
Did you bench bleed the master ? Are the calipers and wheel cylinders working properly ? Is there a break in the line somewhere ? Last , is the booster working properly ? What happens when you step on the brake now ? Are they soft and spongy ? Does the car stop at all ? More info is needed to answer this question properly.

I would say a vacumn leak. Check hoses, measure vacumn with running at idle and at idle when brakes applied. This assumes you have power brakes and it idles well without the brakes applied. Please make sure that the clutch is working properly... Does your clutch work properly?
Check the brakes. You may need new rotors. You didnt say how hard you stand on the brakes because if you are heavy on them it could be the abs unit working properly

well it does depend on the fact of if you replaced the brakes or not because after you replace your brakes you have to bleed them again or else they won't work properly if im correct
Sounds as if it is out of alignment, like someone is still steping on the brakes as you leave the vehicle. Or if some rewiring was redone, recheck it. Or your light switch is not working properly.
