Indeed I do. It is understandable that Charlotte was in search of financial security but I always find it sad how she gives up on ever finding true love. There are little hints throughout the novel that hint her marriage will end in unhappiness and I believe this adds to Lizzy's shock. None the less it was good that Elizabeth supported her friend in her decision, even if it was a selfish one.
