yes, unless it is for some weird contageous reason
I've had mono for a couple weeks or so and my eyes are still swollen whenever I wake up in the morning or from a nap.
First, your eye will hurt and may instantly turn black around your eye, then a day or two later it will turn purple and/or green around your eye and will still be swollen. After a few days the swelling should go down.
Could be prolasped 3rd eyelid, go to vet
Pink eye can cause cattle to go blind...if it looks infected or swollen it could possibly be pink eye
it may still be a little swollen, however you may be allergic to them, if it becomes more painful and does not reduce i suggest you go to your local gp to get it checked out. :)
Yes, a college is a school.
This would depend on the reason for the swollen eye. Did you have something in your eye when you went to sleep? Did you use a new cosmetic or contact lens cleaner that you may have had an allergic reaction to? Do you wear contact lenses, and possibly forgot to take one of them out? (I actually did that once). If so, then you need to have an optometrist or opthalmalogist look at it to make sure there is no damage, such as an abrasion or scratches on the eye. Have you recently used eye drops that you coud have been allergic to, or that were expired or contaminated? Could you possibly have allergies or sinus problems that caused it? If you have sinus problems, it can cause swelling in one eye and not the other. Either way, I would advise having it checked out by your doctor. But until you can get in to see him/her, you can help reduce the swelling by cold compresses applied to the eye for about 15 minutes every couple of hours. And it would be best to not wear eye make up until you know what the problem is. Also, if your eye makeup is more than a few months old, it needs to be thrown out and replaced. Old eye makeup is one of the major causes of eye infections.
Yes if you have pink eye you can go to school but it is recommended not to. It's not like you're going to rub eye to eye or something. Just when you do go, don't rub your eye and then touch something . It's grody.
yes you have be on fetch AND NOT MISS SCHOOL!
That would depend. If it is the actuall eyeball then you need to go to the doctor. There are a number of factors that could cause the eyeball to be enlarged and all of them would prompt medical attention. If it is the tissue or skin around the eyeball, ie the eye lids, then usually cool rags or an over the counter allergy medicine. If either one persist, you should still seek medical attention. I had this problem, i was in my math lesson and my teacher came up to me and said that my right eye was huge... the school sent me to A+E and they did LOADS of tests on me :S .... I had to have a MMR scan and all sorts, it concluded that they did not know why it had swollen up so i had to go and see all sorts of fancy eye specalists..... they had no idea what was wrong and the swelling went down.. but to this day anytime i apply pressure to my right eye it swells up for a couple of days it is rather annoying .
