You might not be anorexic, but you are underweight. You should get about 2250 calories per day until your weight goes up. Slow weight-gain is healthier than the quick kind.
Most diets have a calorie limit like 1500 or 1800 so to stay in that limit you must know how many calories you are consuming. The benefits are that if you count the calories you will lose weight and make better choices. It will make you think twice before lets say drinking that 400 calorie coffee in the morning if that is all you can have because your diet is about 500 calories a meal.
I think a dozen plain wings is about 1500 calories...not counting the sauce you may choose.
Yes, think of each new day as a clean slate, and the day before doesn't apply.
1900 or 2000 the regular amount of calories are 2200 but if you weigh 114 pounds then I think you need less calories in in you like me I try and think to to myself when I'm eating do I really need all these calories when I'm trying to lose weight think of yourself and if your happy with yourself and if self conscious about your weight and size
I dont think it burn calories or anything like that, but it does keep you from snacking on things that have calories so it helps.
Yeah, i think it has something to do with your metabolism (part of your body that burns calories).
I don't think do. Trying to gain weight means you are eating more calories. Anorexics are characterized by limiting their calorie intake, along with exercising to burn off more calories so that they DON'T gain weight.
If you want to lose weight, you probably know that you should watch what you eat and exercise. Although you might think that you can keep tabs on what you are eating simply by watching your portions and avoiding foods that you don't think are healthy, however, it is important to find out the real calories in food so that you can document them. Otherwise, you could end up eating more calories than you intend to, which can slow down your weight loss efforts and make you feel pretty frustrated.
Once you've reached your goal weight, you want to keep it off. A healthy weight control lifestyle will help you keep from gaining back the weight you lost. Everything you did to lose weight by eating right and exercising will need to be continued after you reach your goal. Some people think they can quit counting calories but it's best if you continue to monitor your food intake. You'll just have to adjust the amounts since you don't want to lose any more weight. It's a smaller increase in food than most people think to maintain their weight.
Even though fast weight loss might be attractive, if you lose more than 1-2 lbs/week, you're going to gain all the weight you lost back because in doing so, you would have put your body into starvation mode by giving it too few calories. I've lost 50 lbs over the course of a year by exercising and counting calories, about 1 lb. a week, and I'm happy with the process. I think it really works.
If you intake more calories than you expend, you will gain weight. If you expend more calories than you intake, you will lose weight. It isn't exactly that simple, though. For example, 2000 calories in fruits and vegetables are considerably better for you than an equal number of calories in carbonated beverages. Calories matter - both those expended and those taken in. If you are at the correct weight for your height and continuously eat more calories than you expend, you will soon be overweight. And if you continuously eat fewer calories than you expend, you will soon be underwieght.
