What a loaded question that is! If they are in imminent danger than yes, of course some personal liberties can be given up to protect the lives of others. I'm not talking about throwing out the constitution, but if someone's gonna strap explosives to their waistline and try to board a plane, I think we can all wait 20 minutes, hell 120 minutes in a security line at an airport if it means not being blown to bits at thirty thousand feet. This argument can be taken the wrong way to either extreme. We must find a middle ground where constitutional rights are not violated, yet violent criminal activity is still not tolerated. The 99.9% of us who obey the law just sometime have to deal with additional crap to ensure this.
