Not easily. The diesel and V8's use different transmissions, computers, wiring harnesses, cooling systems,.............
dodge/ram has used two v8 engines in its trucks since 2004, the 4.7 and the 5.7 hemi... before '04 it was the 5.9v8 (360 cubic inch)... the diesel engines in dodge trucks are built by Cummins, and are all inline six (I6), none of the diesel dodges have v8 inches. therefore there was never a 'magnum v8 cummins' since there was never a v8 cummins, hope that helps!
Dodge, Ford only had the Cummins in the F-650 chassis. Ford used International diesels until, the new 6.7l V8 which they built in house.
5.9L V8, and 5.9L Cummins Diesel. The 5.7L Hemi may have been available late.5.9L V8, and 5.9L Cummins Diesel. The 5.7L Hemi may have been available late.
Dodge V8 uses 10W30. Cummins diesel uses 15W40.
A 1995 2500 could have a 5.9L V8, a 8.0L V10, or the 5.9L Cummins diesel.
You need the engine, wiring, computers, transmission, etc out of the V8 truck. It is easier to buy a different truck.
It was available with the 5.9L v8 gas, the 8.0L V10 gas, and the 5.9L inline 6 Cummins diesel.
2006 was the last year of the best Diesel ever made 5.9 cummins engine 2003 was the last 5.9L V8
Probably not, seeing as it was Cummins which kept them in the one ton truck market to begin with... that was what saved them there. Not to mention the Ram 2500 - 5500 still has the ISB as the diesel powerplant, although they did seem to reneg on Cummins for the 1500... word is that it was originally supposed to have the Cummins 5.0 V8, but they instead went with some 3.0 Italian-made diesel.
Depending on model year, either a 5.9 liter or 6.7 liter inline six. A 5.0 liter V8 is supposed to be introduced for the Dodge Ram 1500, as well as the Toyota Tundra.
360 cubic inch ( for the 5.9 liter V8 engine )
