that doesn't have a fuel cap

My 2005 will do that if the gas cap was not secured tightly.

have someone try to start the explorer after you remove the gas cap and are ready to listen for a buzzin sound from down inside the gas tank no buzz means its not pumping fuel and that would mean that if it does buzz your getting fuel pumped
