This is due to not everyone knowing what Wales is.
Wales doesn't have its own currency. The Welsh use the British Pound, the same as the English, Scottish and Northern Irish. None of it comes from the capital (Cardiff). It is all made at the Royal Mint in Llantrisant, South Wales, which also makes coins for other countries.
