Hey,
I'm pretty sure Cary-Blair is formulated to keep the bacteria (C. Diff mainly) and other enteric organisms alive. So my best guess would be that it would want to keep white blood cells at a minimum. Not a 100% sure though!

Normally we would say that nutrients are carried in the blood, but you are correct, it is the plasma portion of the blood that carries nutrients, as compared to the red blood cells which carry oxygen.
Red blood cells contain hemoglobin, but white blood cells do not
Because catalase is found in red blood cells.

Plasma is the liquid in which blood cells and platelets are carried around the body. Plasma is almost completely water.Hope this helps!
Plasma is the fluid in your blood stream that actually holds all of the blood cells. It performs an important function in that it is the medium that oxygen and nutrients are supplied to the body.
It's a straw-coloured liquid - called plasma.
Cryo Cell is a cord blood bank. Cryo Cell was the first company in the world to separate and preserve stem cells. Cord blood has stem cells in it, these can be used for medical treatment of your newborn or other family members.
In terms of the salt concentration OUTSIDE the cell (in the medium), 0.15M NaCl would retain the normal condition of the red blood cell. Hope you liked it! :D

The blood plasma is the transport medium in the circulatory system, into which many substances are dissolved, like carbon dioxide, hormones and nutrients. It helps to carry red and white blood cells, as well as platelets, to different parts of the body quickly and efficiently. The plasma can also diffuse out of capillaries into the gaps around cells, allowing the nutrients in the plasma to diffuse into the cells.
