That's hard to say because both "modern" Christianity and Judaism are watered down to be more politically correct.

So the best way to answer your question is to look at the Hebrew Bible (it is also in the Christian Bible under "Old Testament" or "First Covenant", but it's best to pick a Hebrew Bible up from your local rabbi) and the Christian Bible(more specifically, the New Testament, also called the "Second Covenant").

The Hebrew Bible deals a lot with sin. It reveals how humans started sin and how G-d instructs the Jewish people to offer sacrifices for the sin they commit. It is made clear that humans sin against G-d, each other and themselves. It also reveals that repentance and specific sacrificial offerings are needed to be cleansed from sin.

The New Testament also mentions sin a lot. It is the reason for why Jesus died on the cross. It states that every human has sinned and become separated from God, who is perfect. It reveals that the way to cleanse from sin is through one sacrifice, Jesus'. It says that if a person accepts Jesus' sacrifice and repents, then God forgives them.

Both Bibles state that when God forgives, He remembers that sin no more. He literally and purposefully forgets the past sin and sees you as innocent.

So, both focus on sin and it is an important part of each.

Is it true or false that Islam and Christianity are built off teachings of Judaism?

False. Christianity is based on the death of Jesus Christ as a suitable sacrifice for sin. Jesus is the saviour that Judaism looked for but they failed to see this. Islam recognises Jesus as a prophet but nothing more.

Is it a sin for a man to wear an earring?

AnswerNot in Judaism and Christianity. There is nothing in the Bible to prohibit a man from wearing an earing. If it is made of gold, it could be a sin in Islam, and perhaps some would say that it is still a sin for a man to wear an earring even if not made of gold.

Are Judaism and Christianity the most closely related religions?

A:One of closest things is the old testament because it is the same. B:Christianity and Judaism are two branches coming from the one stream, however: Christianity defines itself as believing in the message and following Jesus Christ.Judaism does not have a place in its system for Jesus, his teachings, or the teachings of Jesus' disciples. Both share some of the same scriptures, called the Old Testament in Christianity, and the Tanakh in Judaism. Both worship God, as revealed in the Old Testament/Tanakh, although Christians believe that Jesus revealed more about God's nature than is found in the Old Testament. From the time of the baptism of the Roman centurion, Cornelius, Christianity has been open to acceptance of non-Jews, without the requirement to undertake the Jewish law. In this regard, it divided itself sharply from Judaism, and the division between them became irreparable soon after AD 70, when Christian Jews (Nazarenes) were excluded from the synagogues of Judaism.
