Delaware is at risk for natural disasters, such as hurricanes, snow, and ice storms, and other winter storm events, as well as technological and terrorism incidents. There are 3 commercial nuclear reactors within 50 miles of Delaware. There are also numerous chemical complexes including a refinery in Delaware City. Delaware is also home to major national banking and credit card companies. Delaware has several critical facilities which are potential targets for terrorism attacks.
