This question is very controversial especially since there have been numerous military confrontations between Israel and Egypt since the former's independence. As it currently stands, it is unclear whose army is superior since their last engagement with each other in 1973 was more or less a stalemate. Pro-Israeli Perspectives

Although both Israel and Egypt have formidable Armies, there is no doubt that Israel has the far stronger military. While smaller, the Israeli military is one of the most technologically advanced, well-trained, and veteran militaries in the entire world. Its weapons and military technology are highly advanced and effective. Its special forces are among the best, and possibly the best, in the world, in terms of equipment, training, professionalism, and experience. The standard Israeli soldier is comparable in training and weaponry to any professional western army, and Israeli armored forces are comparable to American and British armor. The Israeli Air Force is one of the most advanced Air Forces in the world. It possesses a large fleet of technologically modified Western-built aircraft, and is staffed with highly trained pilots. Israel also possesses a small but advanced navy, with 85 vessels. In case of a threat to its survival, Israel also possesses a significant amount of nuclear weapons, which Egypt does not have. By contrast, Egypt has the largest army in Africa, and the tenth largest in the world. Egyptian equipment and military technology is generally less advanced than Israel's, though it does have much advanced American and European hardware. Its armored forces are a mix of advanced, Western-made and aging, Soviet-made armored vehicles. Egyptian soldiers are well-equipped and well-trained, but are inferior to Israeli soldiers in terms of weaponry and training. The Egyptian Air Force possesses a modern fleet of aircraft, but without additional technological modifications as Israel does, and the Egyptian Air Force is also outnumbered in terms of aircraft. The Egyptian navy, numbering 120 modern vessels, is comparable in size and technology to the Israeli Navy, but many of its vessels are inferior to their Israeli counterparts.

Egypt has already acquired the same technological advancement in all of its military branches in the last 30 years. However, what really matters is the soldier's mentality, and this is where Egypt excels. The Egyptian military is bigger than and as advanced and organized as Israel's. Contrary to the common misconceptions circulated by Western mainstream media, the Israeli army has only been effective with unarmed civilians. Lately, Israel has been unable to handle small and unorganized armed militias. At the present time, there is no comparison between both armies. Although both Israel and Egypt have formidable Armies, there is no doubt that Egypt's is the far stronger military.

I just want to clear some points, which however Israel has advantages with weapon and technologies dated with last updated, there are some points need clarified: when Egypt has been taken aback by Israel attack on 1967 through air forces that consequently all Egyptian Airports vanished, by which defeat appeared. In addition to, all Egyptian vital locations wiped out. But the entire world forgot important matter in 1973, Egypt had in 1973 war with Israel by technologies and weapons specialized for defense not for attack, which means that Israel with advantaged weapon did not do anything with Egypt defense weapons. That fact is that weapon does not matter in war according to Egyptian army but the professionalism of weapon utility to convert from defense-specified to attack-specified one. There is no comparison between the two..Egypt is stronger..It has the strongest army in the Middle East (was the second best after Iraqi army came in first)..
