Britain by its policy of Divide and Rule were able to capture some provinces of India. Taking advantage of the situation, the British destroying the Indian Industry and Commerce, exported raw materials of India to England to develop Britain and then they were exporting from England the manufactured products making India dependent on Britain with its own production and industry totally crippled.
No. The UK consists of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. In many respects Northern Ireland has its own government.
Nope - Great Britain is divided into countries, which are further divided into counties. However - unlike american states, British counties do not set their own laws.
They obviously hurt it. The reason was because the Indians worked for their own cotton but the British took credit for it. Also, the Indians had to work without any pay.

Britain enabled India to see the world. Britain did not brainwash India with its own missionaries like the French and the Americans and the Arabians when they had their chance at colonization. Many flavors of enlightenment came forth from India to shower upon the world.

because the Indians were not allowed to what they wanted and they were ruling India .the British were trading India and taking there land and selling it to others to get land for Britain and also the British forced the Indians to be Christian rather than their own religion and the Indian didn't had much reputation as the British did. What a load of utter rubbish: please take no notice of any of that supposed answer. Instead, look up British-India history and you will find much of great interest, including the fact that many Indians held the Brits in great esteem, and still do.
