Michigan does have national parks. The names of them are; Apostle Islands NL, Keweenaw NHP. Pictured Rocks NL, and Sleeping Bear Dunes NL.
But I do not know about historical parks of Michigan. I'm trying to research it right now

While the National Park Service controls and manages numerous sites in Tennessee only the Cumberland Gap National Historical Park and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park have the status of National Parks.
There are no national parks in New York State. However NY has 5 national monuments, 2 national historical parks, 11 national historical sites, 3 national memorials, 1 national recreation area, 1 national seashore, 1 national and wild scenic river and 1 national scenic trail. I think you'll be able to find something to do there!
