The brand name, World's Finest Chocolate, is made in the United States. It is based in Chicago. World's Finest is commonly used in school fund raisers.

Where as the actual best chocolate can be a matter of opinion, there are definitely some that are seen on "best of" lists time and time again.

L.A. Burdick - An American (New York) company founded in 1987

La Maison du Chocolat - A French company founded in 1977

Max Brenner - An Israeli company founded in 1996

Teuscher - A Swiss company founded in 1932

While all of these are wonderful chocolates, I still tend to think the best piece of chocolate is the one I have in hand when the craving hits!
