There is a much better picture difference between HDTVs than the games and there consoles. You did not ask what has better graphics and the differences are very minor you asked what looks better. You can see more detail 14 inches away from a great Monitor than 14 feet from a huge wide screen HDTV

PS3 looks better with the best HDTV and Connection available, but will look better on a HDTV with only the provided A/V 480i standard connection because it is a better TV. Quit even noticing what the games resolution is. On my PS3 with a HDMI connection and a HDTV 1080P the DVDs are upgraded and if the games are the not also upgraded they might soon be. Just like all PS3 have the upgrades available to play 3D. Your PS3 games will actually all look better (not just 3D games) if you were to connect the new PS3 3D display available in November 2011 or Upgrade to even any LED LCD 1080p HDTV .

the 36o because its cheaper its built better and good graphics It not cheaper any longer, it never had better graphics if you define that to mean clearer sharper more lifelike, and it plays Blu ray disc which are clearly better to watch on a wide screen 1080p HDTV, plus the regular DVDs look better because they are upscaled, then you have the monthly charge for Xbox 360 online where PSN is free. ok i have a 360 but i no alot of stuf about both. xbox live u gotta pay like $60 year (not so bad) but xbox gets more free demos and everything comes out earlier. well not everything but alot but ps3 does have free network and they have some better features like blur ray and 3d movies and like google (we got bing) and xbox 360 does have better grafics not by much u cant really tell but it does (look it up on gamestop.com compare 2 same games) ps3 is tougher like stronger than xbox but i just like all the features xbox has and i like xbox controlers better but i like 360 better but ps3 puts up a BIG fight
