the 4.0 was not available on Rangers until 1991
Yes , the 2.3 liter 4 cylinder in a 1993 Ford Ranger is a non-interference engine
In a 1993 Ford Ranger : Yes , all engine sizes are fuel injected
I believe you could....according to the Haynes Repair Maual for 1993-2005 Rangers, the SOHC 4.0L engine is a standard 4.0L engine found in Rangers and Explorers. actually , the 4.0 L SOHC wasn't used in the Ford Ranger until 2001 , before that Ford used the 4.0 L OHV engine
My 1993 Ranger has a 4.0, so yes...
no.
145 horsepower for the 3.0 L Vulcan - V6 engine in a 1993 Ford Ranger
are there freexe out pluges on rear of block on a 2.3 engine ford ranger
No , the engines in a 1993 Ford Ranger are fuel injected ( at least they are in North America )
a 1993 ford ranger will hold 5 qts of oil. From the Chilton Ford Ranger guide: A 1993 Ranger with a 3.0 liter engine take 4.5 quarts of oil. The other engine sizes all take 5.0. My 3.0 Ranger takes 5 quarts, Chilton is probably not taking into account of the oil filter.
According to my Chilton repair manual the powertrain control module (PCM) for 1993 + 1994 Ford Rangers / Explorers is mounted low on the firewall , near the drivers side fender , in the engine compartment . The EEC test port is by your power distribution box in the engine compartment (OBD I / EEC IV)
The oil pump is bolted to the bottom of the engine , inside the oil pan
The 1993 engine will not fit directly into the 1986 frame without modification due to a 1992 change in frame geometry and mounting positions.
