You have bad spark plugs and or cap and rotor
There is no radiator cap on a 1999 Ford Contour. The cap to the coolant overflow reservior is the only way to add something to the radiator.
in the engien
I was looking at one of the Ford websites , and it shows : For a 1999 Ford Contour ( 2.0 liter four cylinder engine and 2.5 liter V6 engine ) ( Motorcraft RS-513 ) is the part number for the thread on pressure cap / radiator cap on the engine coolant reservoir ) * it is a 16 PSI cap
The 3.8 liter V6 engine has a distributor cap and rotor in a 1997 Ford Thunderbird
It could be either a bad fuel filter or fuel pump or it could be bad spark plugs or cap and rotor or spark plug wires
No , the " radiator " cap / pressure cap is the thread on cap on the engine coolant reservoir
It's the thread on cap on the engine coolant reservoir
It is inside the distributor, under the cap and rotor. It is inside the distributor, under the cap and rotor.
unbolt the distributer cap and lift up. The rotor is under the cap on a pivot. It should just pull off. Keep track of the position of the rotor and distributor cap though. Just in case.
There is not a rotor cap on modern engines - ignition control and distribution is computer controlled and handled via the coilpacks.See "Related Questions" below for more
The 1999 Ford Taurus does not have a radiator cap. Coolant is added by using the over flow bottle instead of a radiator cap.
