The grand Cherokee does have four wheel disc brakes. The wrangler and Cherokee have rear drum brakes.

The tools required to replace a front brake pad and rotors on a 2000 Jeep Grand are lug wrenches, a jack, jack stands, and a C-clamp. You also will need a wrench and a turkey baster for drawing out old brake fluid.
2 wheel or 4 wheel drive, front or rear rotors, it makes a big difference.
You will need to remove the front tire and wheels from your 2002 Jeep liberty. Remove the brake pads and break assembly. Tap the rotors with a hammer or mallet. The rotors will come off. Reverse the process to install the new rotors.
Need to know if it is a 4+2 or a 4+4.
Usually two - on the front wheels.

In the brake rotors.
Should be 1.024 inch
Remove the wheel, the calipers and the rotors, reverse procedure with new rotors.
Rotors on the front drums on the rear.
