1.8 vvti engines don't have timing belts but chains instead, these I believe need changing at 100k miles.
ANSWER #2:: I have heard to the contrary on the replacement of the chain in that it is, essentially, good for the lifetime of the engine.. but that's just what I have "heard". You would have to check Toyota specs to be sure (any dealer service center will have that info). However, by replacing it at 100k miles, you certainly couldn't be doing any harm.
a 1994 Toyota Celica GT has a timing belt.
no it has a timing belt. it's not that hard to replaced
I think it has a timing chain
Chain
The 2001 Celica does not have a timing belt... it has a timing chain. The chain is supposed to last, basically, the lifetime of the engine (at least 250k mi.). If it is the chain you are refering to in your question.. wow.. I dunno. For a shop to do it, I would show up with at least $500.00 (probably more).
every 90,000 miles
You don't because its a chain!!
