I have been working on an issue with my 2002 Dodge Ram. The blower motor and resistor are both located on passenger side under the dash. Easily accessible in cab.
I belive it is located down under the dash on the passenger side. the older dakotas where mounted on the passenger side of the fire wall. a blower motor resister is usually located close to the actual blower motor.
To change the blower motor resistor in a 2002 Nissan Maxima, locate the blower motor resistor under the glove compartment on the passenger side of the vehicle. There is a clip that is depressed and then the resistor will slide out. Remove both ends of the resistor and then replace with the new resistor.
Replace heater motor resistor.
either the control head is bad or there is a blower motor resistor that is bad.
If the 2002 is like the 2004... Check the bottom passenger side. Unclick and remove the (1/2"x1/2") connector to it. Remove the two screws. The resistor should fall out. Hand tighten the screws back in place so you don't lose them.
Under the dash on the passenger side.Under the dash on the passenger side.
Under the dash on the passenger side.Under the dash on the passenger side.
the resistor is blown. It is located on the passenger side under the dash just follow the wires from the blower motor back to it. If your climate system is manual the resistor is pretty cheap. If its the auto climate control it can get pretty expensive.
The 2001 model has it on the passenger side underneath the glove box area more toward the middle of the truck. It is held in by two screws. Unbolt those and it pulls right out.
Passenger side under the hood.
First locate the resistor, it is under the hood, on the firewall, passenger side, close to the blower motor. Unplug the wire connection and remove the three small screws holding it in place, then remove the resistor.
