there isn't one....................... do some research
some models did have 4ws,im sure it also cut out at a certain speed.
Do you have a problem with four-wheel steering on your vehicle; if so, how do you know that? Dash light? Performance issue? Mechanic's analysis?
It should be like all other preludes under the carpet at the front passenger feet may be behind a flat protector plate
my 91 Honda prelude 4ws si with 2.1 engine had high idle in park. then my timing belt went put a new belt on hasn't done it yet!!! I do not fix them, I bring it to the dealer and let them fix it.
prelude's depending on spec can most deffinately be awd/4wd.. 100% 4ws,for best results go to a Honda search engine/site & you can read all about body/engine type / drive train / capacity.. even why & how the Honda prelude range was made.
My '88 Prelude Si 4WS had a short in the steering column. My "guys" pulled wires to a toggle switch that they free-placed in the coin tray. It gets hot . . . But, the running lights/brake lights work independently of the headlights!

Since the question didn't specify trim levels from either car, if you are comparing top-of-the line models (Si or Si 4WS vs. LS V6 respectively), the Prelude, even with less horsepower than the 626, sprints ahead faster 0-60 and at the 1/4 mile by about a second in each.
4 wheel steer.
The diagnostic is an LED on the ECU which is under the passenger side front carpet. there is a flap there, if you pull it down you will see the flashing code. You have to count the number of flashes. There could be multiple codes, so watch carefully and count one after the other.
drain the box and change the oil is this dosent work try changing out the auto solenoids if they are available cheap otherwse there is not much you can do but bring it to a Honda agent and expect to pay big bucks for the fix.
Any leak in an exhaust system can allow lethal carbon monoxide gas to enter the passenger compartment and could send you to sleep while driving. It is definitely something to worry about and should be repaired ASAP.
Pop the hood. See the intake manifold? Its the big silver thing at the back of the motor. Just to the left of it should be large black ribbed, rubber hose coming out at a 90* angle then shooting down. At the end of that rubber hose is your air filter. It is inside of the canister that is there. Otherwise try www.preludepower.com
4 WIER STEERING Let's make that 4 wheel steering, some Honda Preludes have this feature.
Precisely 61,520 due to the minimum space capacity of the two door vehicle. They stopped making them in 1999.
Disconnect the timer module (black box) under the passenger side (in North America) seat. Just remove the plug.
Yes, it is called four wheel steering. Some manufacturers, such as Honda, Mazda, and Nissan added this option to some of their performance vehicles in the late 1980's. GMC added a 4WS option to the Denali pick up and large SUVs in 2002. Most systems had a low speed and a high speed program. At low speeds, the rear wheels would turn in opposite direction to the fronts reducing the turning radius. As the vehicles speed increased the amount of opposite steer slip angle would decrease until around 25-30 mph the rear wheels would be steered in the same direction, though only to small degree, as the fronts. This would improve high speed stability by reducing yaw forces on the vehicle. Despite the advantages, the systems never really caught on. 4WS added cost, weight, and complexity and some drivers didn't like the "feel" of 4WS. Some current BMWs and Nissans have 4WS as part of an optional sport package.
All Third generation systems are Mechanical. There should be very little difference between the two systems. Compare part numbers to be sure there are no differences.
