a 1994 Chevy caprice has an electric water pump it is located in the front of the engine right above the bottom tensioner pulley!
dont listen to that guy^ it has neither a pully or electrics. it runs off a cam gear in front of the timing cover. i own one
I can't give you a definite answer on the '95, but my '96 Camry 4 cylinder has belt driven waterpump. its driven by the timing belt.
Should be bolted to the front of the engine. It's driven by a belt.
It may be belt driven, not electric.
The big issue isn't an electric water pump, but the fact that you have to replace the pulleys. If you can pull that off you should be good to go, even with a belt-driven water pump.
If the water pump is driven by the same accessory belt as the power steering pump it could affect the ps pump.
On a 3.3l the water pump is driven by the serpentine belt. On a 3.0l the water pump is driven by the timing belt.
Yes, on this particular engine the water pump is driven by the timing belt.
1. Electric Motor 2. Belt off the crankshaft 3. Shaft driven (similar to a distributor)
Usually at the front end of the engine, driven by a belt. Some cars have a back-up electric water pumt somewhere low in the engine bay.
Yes, the water pump on a 3.5L is timing belt driven.Yes, the water pump on a 3.5L is timing belt driven.
On most engines, the water pump drive belt is also the timing belt.
You may have a serpentine belt on that car. I believe they had an electric fan. The serpentine belt is black and you can see it by your alternator, A/C compressor, etc. Under the hood of your car should be sticker on how to route the belt. You can look at that sticker and then see where your belt goes. There is no fan belt on a 1991 Nissan 300zx. The fan is directly driven by an electric motor. The water pump, alternator, and air conditioning compressor are belt driven. The belt for those components is located at the front of the engine.
