It has an IAC ( idle air control ) motor on the throttle body.
It is located on the throttle body.
IAC Idle air control sensor. The cylinder shaped sensor on the throttle body
if you are standing at the front of the jeep it should be on the left side of the throttle body. closest to the valve cover.
the idle air control motor or iac motor is out. if this is a 4.0 liter, it is located on the throttle body to the left of the throttle position sensor and is removed by removing 2 screws. replace it and plug the new one in. can also cause full throttle condition
more than likely your idle air control motor(IAC motor)is not responding properly causing the engine to stall
Price this part at any GM dealer and have them print out the picture of this sensor which will show you it's location on the engine. That is a free service. Mark
When driving the IAC does not do anything because the car is not at an idle
Do you mean the IAC valve? It is locsted on the throttle body. Remove air cleaner housing and you will be able to locate 3 sensors there. The MAP sensor, TPS (throttle position sensor) and the IAC valve. The IAC is located closest to the throttle cable. Good luck!
Just replaced mine. This is simple. Cost $50 at the auto parts store. Also easy to find on the throttle body. The sensor is the top one located on the throttle body. The lower one is the IAC (Idle Air Control). The TPS is held on with two screws, probably the torx head type. guessing T-20 in size. Remove electrical connector and the two screws and remove. Installation is opposite in order. If your check engine is on after you replace the sensor, disconnect the negative battery post and let it sit for ten plus minutes for the computer to reset itself. Good luck.
Clean the IAC (idle air control) motor (also known as the ais) on the throttle body. Carbon can make it stick. Knock the big chunks off and use carb cleaner to make it sparkle.
its located in the trottle body
do you mean intake air temp sensor, or iac idle air control?
