both but do not mix them
Any brand of antifreeze can be used in a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer. It is recommended that a person uses 50 50 antifreeze.
Regular antifreeze such as, green, or red!
you should use the dextrol coolant
No , use plumbing antifreeze ( antifreeze for trailers etcetera )
it doesen t use regular antifreeze, you have to use dexcool, its orange color
you can but you shouldn`t...use only dexcool.
Never use regular antifreeze in a Cadillac, you need to us GM DEX-COOL or it will ruin your cooling system. Jim
It uses regular old green antifreeze.
You can use regular anti-freez 50/50 mix with distilled water.
I have 2006 Blazer. Antifreeze needs to be at right level or no heat. Instead of changing my thermostat for very cold temperatures I use a grill snap on guard that adds plenty of heat to the cab and is adjustable. Gasoline will not burn well if the engine is too cold in severe winter driving. If you are losing at lot of antifreeze use the copper sealer and not the aluminum sealers.
SEE DEXCOOL CLASSACTION SUIT" I would NOT use it.......$$$$. I HAVE SEEN THE GUNK & BLOWN HEADGASKETS................................$$$$$$$$$$
Read the owner's manual and buy any antifreeze that meets the requirements listed. The manual calls for Ford Premium Cooling System Fluid, but any water/ethylene glycol based antifreeze solution should be OK. Use the regular green antifreeze, mixed at least 50/50 with water, but never over 70% antifreeze, or just buy it pre-mixed. Make sure it is safe to use with aluminum engine parts. I use Prestone.
