Therefore it follows - Canadoans have specific rights or privileges nor do they have the ability to get reimbursed in Canada.
So becareful as there always peopel trying to take advantage of others and leaving you holding the bag in this case the tax liability for not having a purchaser paying their share

I assume you are in the Canadian market and the taxes are in Canada. When buying from a dealer you should expect to pay 13% of tax, both GST and PST. But when buying from a private person you are only responsible for 5% GST.
