If you are just excerisng your Horse/Pony in the arena, dismount immediately, and lead your horse out to untack him and call the farrier. If you are on a Hack and you are far from home, use your mobile phone to call anybody you know with a horse box to come and pick you up, then phone the farrier. Never continue to ride a horse if it has thrown a shoe, is is most likely to damage the hoof more severly. You need to make sure that the shoe is completely off and that there are no punture wounds on the sole or frog of the foot from the nail. If the shoe is still partially attached you need to completely remove it, which may require a pair of shoe pullers. You should keep a well fitting boot on the hoof to protect the bare foot until the farrier is able to see your horse. If you are riding, walk the horse back to the barn, don't ride.
Horses' hooves weren't designed for the surfaces of civilization (brick, tarmac, concrete, etc.) but for the grass, soil and occasional rock of nature. They need some protection to deal with the modern world.
I suppose you mean Sinterklaas' horse and not house. It is customary to leave a carrot in your shoe as a present for Sinterklaas' horse. Sometimes children also write little poems and leave them in the shoe as well for Sinterklaas himself.
Most likely he slept. Working began as soon as it was light and ended as soon as it was dark. An ale at the pub was also something he did as well as gambling and if he could afford a horse, horse racing.
Why would you want to make a horse wild? Well i guess you would make it crazy by turning it into a bucking horse and go from there !!!
Blacksmiths were important to farmers because the blacksmiths kept the horses hooves clean and healthy so the farmers could gather in more crops and make more money. Horses were used to help carry some of the crops because a lot of plants can become very heavy. :-)
One can purchase just the right shoe when in a shoe store. The person getting the shoe must make sure that it's not too tight or loose as well as the right style for you.
