It can mean many different things. It can mean that he wants your number to call you of a hookup. Also, he might tell how he truly feels about you. He may need a friend by his side to talk to him. He probably just wants it in case he needs help so he probably can come to you.

It's possible... boys are funny about letting their feelings show. Some will come out and say so, and others will be afraid and play it close to the chest.

Most of the time, unfortunately, if guys don't find a way to let you know, they probably aren't that interested.

You have two choices.

You can be upfront, and let him know you like him. "Hey, I really like you. I'd like to see you again. Can we hang out some time?" If he does like you, and is shy, he may be grateful you said something. But if he doesn't like you, he may reject you, or simply say nothing, which will hurt. But at least you will know where you stand.

Your other choice is to be polite or flirt, but say nothing, and hope for the best. Flirting comes naturally for some people, and not so for others, but basically you smile at him, make funny comments, touch your arms, face or hair while you're talking to him.

You might let him know where you're going to be without outright asking him to be there - like "my friends and I are going to the dance/park/store on Friday at 5pm... are you planning on going?"

Finding out whether a guy likes you can be tricky! But if the one you like doesn't feel the same way, don't feel bad. There are many guys out there, and if you keep positive you will find the one who likes you back!

no you should not ask a guy if he wants your number because then you may sound desperate. if he's your bestie then go ahead if it seems roght but if ots a guy you like or your boyfriend then if he likes you then he should ask you. or if he doesnt maybe he just doesn't want your number, maybe he doesn't have a phone, or he might not know you have a phone. if he knows you do then maybe you could bring it up in a conversation on facebook or in person. in person just text people a lot and make sure he notices. then ask him if he has a phone. or what kind of phone he has pr the.color. or anything like that. then if tell him you might not be able to talk to him in a while on facebook or in person cause you wont have wifi and you'll be gone somewere/busy etc. then when you leave him or go home. etc. then be like.you should text me sometime. and he wll probably ask for your number! :) hope this helped or gave you any ideas! -Scarlet
