There are no "chauffeur's licenses" anymore, not since the Commercial Driver License system was introduced.
Some states do still have what they call a chauffeur's licence, intended for vehicles which do not fall under FMSCR (RVs, registered farm vehicles, firefighting apparatus, etc.). These are regulated by the issuing state, and requirements can vary far and wide by state. You need to inquire with your local DMV to find out what the laws are in YOUR state.
