Lots of exercise is good for every dog, but the Labrador Retriever part will require a fair amount. If the "doodle" is from a full-size hunting poodle, then that part will call for a lot of exercise, too.
If they whine and bark a lot, or chew up household items, then you can be sure that the dog needs more exercise and play.

I have a black lab and a St.Bernard and the black lab constantly licks my St.Bernards eyes and jowls. When I asked my vet why he did this so much they told me it was a nurturing quality and that my lab was just looking after my St.Bernard.
