it is different for everyone. It may just be how your cycle is. My cycle is between 36-39 days. I ovulate about 14 days before my next period. However, my sister waas diagnosed with CPOD and has long cycles as well. SHe does not ovulate every cycle either. This definitely effected her feritility when she first began trying for a baby. She became very educated on the subject and they now have two babies under the age of three! Everyone is different. It just means, you dont ovulate as many times in a year as women with shorter cycles. ASsuming all you have is a long cycle, then you should pay attention to your body signs as to when you ovulate. Your vaginal discharge will be like a raw egg white when you are most fertile. They say count back 16 days from the start of mentstruation and then add 4 days to that. You should be most fertile in between that time. Best of luck. I have one and am trying for another. My daughter is ten though and I had her young so I am nervous myself.
