Depending on the type of nurse, (e.g. RN, LPN, APN, etc...) location, (geographical and urban vs. rural, ) and the setting (office, hospital, clinic, etc...) weekly pay can be between about $400 and $800 per week, net.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics the estimated mean annual wage for registered nurses as of May 2008 is, $65,130. This would amount to $31.31 per hour. In the western states such as Nevada, California pay is much higher around 90-100K. The southeastern states such as Florida, Mississippi, Missouri, etc pay much lower around $40k/year so that is why the average wage numbers are skewed so much. States that have plenary practice make more on average.

I got paid biweekly so my checks were usually in the $1700-1900 range. only deductions were regular taxes and my medical, vision, dental benefits.
