NO the 5 r 55 e transmission does not use the typical dipstick for checking fluid.Instead they figured that crawling under the truck to check the fluid with tools u probably dont have would be a much better method.Start the truck.crawl underneath.locate the smaller bolt on the pan.Usually a bigger bolt with a SMALLER BOLT IN THE CENTER OF THE BIG ONE.remove smaller center bolt if fluid dosent drip steadly its low on fluid.
