Yes, permanent residents can't get Australian passports.(I'm sorry, but whoever just said 'Yes, permanent residents can't get Australian passports.' is completely WRONG! I am a permanent resident and i have an AUSTRALIAN PASSPORT!whoever typed the last answer (in brackets) is wrong and first response is right. If you've got a passport, you're a cictizen, not a permanent residentumm thts not true because i have an austrlaian passport and it says permanent on my passport not citizen.Reality:Australian Citizens and Dual Citizens get passports. All others get visas. The official conditions statement says:'To be eligible for an Australian passport the Australian Passport Office must be satisfied that you are an Australian citizen, and must confirm your identity.'There were some changes during the 1980s where permanent residents were admitted to citizenship.End of story.
If you are not an Australian citizen or permanent resident you need a visa to be in Australia.
no
No. PR is just permanent resident.PR stands for Permanent Resident, so, no, PR is not a Singapore citizen.
No.
Yes, but you have to have your passport
No. A passport is absolutely required.
Hawai'i is a US state, therefore no passport is needed for US citizens to travel to or from Hawai'i. Hawaii is part of the United States. Therefore, if you are a Citizen or a Permanent Resident(Green Card holder) you won't be needing a passport to go there. DL will do.
You'll need a US PASSPORT to return to the US.
you do not need to carry a passport as a permanent resident alien when traveling in the us, IF you have a state id, or drivers license. i have done it before, and never been asked about my passport. even when i gave up my green card, i still had a valid drivers license , which i used to at the airport.
