I doubt it. I have seen thousands of Cessna and they all appear to have alloy propellers
Clyde Vernon Cessna founded the Cessna Aircraft Company in June 1911. It as since become the largest private aircraft producer in the world with more Cessna 172's built than any other aircraft in the world.
Most likely the Cessna 172. More Cessna 172's have been built than any other aircraft. More than 43,000 have been produced and more are still rolling out of the factory.
Yeah...it's a piece of junk. If the hull is in good shape and you can get the plane cheap enough to put a newer engine in it on an STC and still have the plane come in a little less expensive than a 172P, go for it. Otherwise, go for a 172P or later.
The two biggest manufacturers of aircraft are Airbus and Boeing. You will likely be flying in one of these aircraft on any trip over 200 miles. Other popular aircraft companies for General Aviation aircraft are Cessna and Piper.
There is NO SUCH aircraft. The writer of "Hatchet" didn't do proper research and got the numbers WRONG. - The 406 is a 14 seat, twin turboprop executive aircraft, as shown in picture above. It has no resemblance to any 'bushplane'
There IS NO 2-seater Cessna 406. The 406 is built to carry up to 14 passengers. Some seats can be removed in favor of hauling cargo, but it is still considered to be a 14-passenger aircraft. The standard length, in ANY configuration is 39 feet.
There was no bomber of any kind that had 8 propellers.
There isn't a synonym for Cessna... Cessna has always been Cessna, has not operated under any other names, and has always operated independently of parent companies which had bought it out (General Dynamics from 1985 to 1992, and Textron from 1992 to present). Only two products from another company are manufactured under the Cessna name - the Columbia 350 (as the Cessna 350) and the Columbia 400 (as the Cessna 400). Cessna is Cessna... nothing else is.
The Wright Brothers put propellers on all of their planes. There were no jet engines then.
an aging aircraft is any aircraft that has been around long enough to "age", say a 1955 Cessna 150, for a random example. But I think this is a very general term, so I may be wrong. Correct. The FAA began a program of special inspections and maintenance for a fleet of aircraft or an aircraft type that have reached a certain age. The FAA has issued Airwothiness Directives(AD's) that require special maintenance on these older aircraft. Link to FAA: http://www.faa.gov/aircraft/air_cert/design_approvals/transport/Aging_Aircraft/
There are three different types of airplanes. Commercial, military and private aircraft. Commercail airplanes include anything from the Boeing 767 to the Airbus'. Military airplanes include figheter-planes, f-16 and transport aircraft, c-5 galaxy. Private aircraft are much smaller and include planes like the cessna 22 or any of the piper lines.
There is no such thing as a Cessna 406 bushplane. The 406 is a high speed executive aircraft that seats12-14 people. It has 2 PT6-A turboprop engines. It is 39 feet long, 49 foot wingspan and a max weight of 10,000 pounds-The guy who wrote "Hatchet" got his facts all wrong
