As a Buddhist we would like to spent more time on understanding the mind, to journey inward to realise the true nature of things. As such we preferred to have only breakfast and lunch with a evening warm drink. We could do this if we would reflect on the food we partake by reminding ourselves the reason for eating. Our daily reflection on food as follow;- "This food i take, properly considering it; not playfully, not for intoxication, not for fattening, not for beautifying, but only for the continuation and nourishment of this body, for keeping it unharmed; for helping it to live a pure life, Thinking I shall destroy hunger, Thus will I be free from bodily troubles And live at ease."
