Eagle trading in kenosha Wisconsin has one for a 12 gauge, don't have their number though.
No, a Marlin 881 stock cannot fit in a model 81. The stock would fit an 881, not an 81.
Try marlin directly or I would go to Numrich gunparts corp.they may be found on the web.
i would first try numrich website at gunpartscorp. I would also try bobs gun shop in royal arkansas. They specialize in old marlin stocks..
he Marlin Model 88 was made from 1948 to 1956. It was replaced by the Model 89. The Model 88 was one of Marlin's less expensive guns, and therefore did not get serialized. Prior to passage of the Gun Control Act of 1968, guns were not required to have serial numbers, and Marlin did not serialize many of the less expensive models. It required an extra manufacturing step that added to the cost, so it was omitted. The Model 88 would have had American black walnut used for the stock.
The Marlin Model 47 was not listed in the Marlin catalog, but was an incentive gift to anyone who purchased four shares of Marlin stock for $100. Very rarely seen on the market. One thing you can count on with Marlin is that there are no hard-and-fast rules for serial numbering on these guns. Many of the similar models were serialized together, and parts replacement further complicates things. sales@countrygunsmith.net
Your Model 81 was halted in the year 2003.I would surmise that Marlin had a new model in the works at the time of the model 81 demise.
I would say that your Marlin model 1894 was probably made in the year 1910.
I can say that your Marlin model 336CS was made in the year 1984.I would look to Marlin,s own website to get any more info on your model of Marlin lever action rifle.
I would start my search at Numrich gun parts corp.they may be found on the web.If you have no luck try E-bay,or Gunbroker.com and look for a stock there.
I would date your marlin model 92 to the year 1907.
Cannot find reference to a Model cc 550. Perhaps 650, which would be a Marlin Model 55.
You would have to ask Marlin.
