Open the hood and pop off the transmission shift cable from the transmission linkage, then rotate linkage by hand into neutral.
The neutral safety switch is located on the side of the transmission at the linkage connection. Unhook the wiring connector, Disconnect the linkage, then unbolt the switch to replace it.
you do not have a neutral safety switch it is a valve in the gear box adjust the linkage put in first gear now to the engine bay look at the throttle now adjust the linkage see if gearstick is in the right place the engine must only start in park or neutral if not you must adjust the linkage.
Sure. Disconnect the shifter linkage/cable and set it to neutral by moving the shift lever to neutral by hand.
It should be on the transmission where the linkage connects.
on the trans shift linkage
Your shift linkage may have slipped or become loose. Check your linkage.
10 deg BTD, tranny in neutral, spout connecter disconnected
you have trouble in the gear box.. there is no linkage adjustment
Shift linkage out of adjustment?
Should be on the side of the transmission at the linkage point.
Right where the shift linkage is attached to the transmission.
