As you have posted this question in several categories, there are different answers. Of the tablets and laptops on the market today, both the new iPad (3rd generation) and Retina Display Macbook Pro have the highest resolution of any tablet or laptop computer. In telephones, several Android-based phones have a higher resolution (but, also a larger screen) than the current iPhone. In Computer Monitors, there are several monitors that match the Apple Cinema display for resolution. It has been suggested that Apple is working on introducing displays with a much higher pixel density in their iMac lineup. These displays would be expected to be, for that moment, the highest resolution computer monitors.
There are several resolution for computer touch screens. Often providers only differentiate between HD or Retina (Apple) and usual displays. But who is interested just needs to have a look on a smartphone site.
In the Displays section of System Preferences the current screen resolution will be highlighted. Alternatively the resolution can also be found by selecting About This Mac... from the Apple menu (top left corner), clicking on the More Info... button and selecting Graphics/Displays from the hardware section of the left hand pane.

The highest screen resolution can be found in the HP HDX, Dell XPSM2010. Also, the Alienware M15x laptop can be counted in with a resolution of 1920 x1080.

To change your display settings open System Preferences (from the Apple menu top left corner) and select Displays. Choose your desired resolution (800 X 600) on the left and Refresh rate (75 MHz) from the menu on the right.
