Does cats want to be with there owners when they are sick or about to die?

In my experience, no. One cat I had was dying of heart failure (I didn't know it at the time), he went from major cling on and snuggle buddy to a total recluse who would swat and snap at me when I tried to pet him. Picking him up in the last week of his life was out of the question. He was an indoor cat, but he tried repeatedly to get out of the house in the month before he died. He had never shown an interest in going out before. He knew he was dying. My other cat is very senior and his clock is winding down. I've noticed that he doesn't want to cuddle before bed time anymore. That was something that he always used to enjoy. He spends most of the day on his perch, upstairs in my bedroom. It seems that they want to withdraw and get busy dying in private.

She will not get sick as long as she does not lick her nails while the polish is wet. Once it is dry she will be fine. Why you would want to paint your cats nails in the first place is beyond me. Just use some quick drying nail polish and you'll be good to go.
