All sensors give a code when the sensor is not working right
If you are getting a code about cam/crank misalignment, you most likely have a problem with the timing belt. There is either a part failure or it is miss installed.Niether the cam or crank sensors have any adjustments. If you are getting a code about cam/crank misalignment, you most likely have a problem with the timing belt. Should not. The crank sensor does not come in contact with the fuel nor the exhaust.
The tone rings for the crank and cam position sensors are different and the engine will not run.The tone rings for the crank and cam position sensors are different and the engine will not run.
its been my experience , if its a 3.4lt, it has two sensors for the crank, one in the block. and one in front cover near crank.
check cam sensors and crank sensors. coils get their pulse from there
possibly the crank angle or cam sensors Or injectors
LOL, some dont have crank sensors my friend! if you dont have a crank sensor by your oil pan then you have a bad distributor sensor!
check the wiring goig to the crank sensors and check and see if you can adjust the gap on the outside sensor maybe its not properly connected
what year? and what size engine? crank sensors are in different locations based on year and engine size.
That refers to engine timing. To set the timing on that year engine you MUST have a engine scanner to set the timing because it is computer controlled. A timing light will not work. The cam and crank sensors MUST be in correlation with each other. You probley have a bad cam are crank sensor if you are having starting and running problems. Only if the engine code is camshaft to crankshaft correlation. If you have removed are moved the distributor in any way then that will also give you the same code. Just have the timing set to specs and clear the codes.
It is behind the starter. You will have to remove the starter to even see it.
Crank Pulley, crank sensor, ignition module, dirty maf sensors, clogged fuel filters.
