Actually, Endothermic creatures are warm-blooded (We, humans, are endothermic). Ectothermic creatures are cold-blooded. Because of this, warm-blooded creatures need more energy than cold-blooded need, because we use that energy to stabilize our internal temperatures. Ectothermic creature's temperatures depend on what the temperature of their environment is. Though, this does not mean that an endothermic animal's internal temperature will be exactly the same as it's environment's temperature.
