No. This is a popular myth.
It is possible that some of the things we eat (such as rice) may contain some small parts of dead insects. The amount is impossible to quantify for an average diet.
No, Most people don't eat insects. Most people don't eat insects unless they are very hungry, very young, or think they nibbling on something else entirely, or are riding a motorcycle without a sheild, or a fast bike, leaving them no time to Dodge out of said bugs way. Thus, causing them to eat and, or just swallow said bug.
Whilst I have no doubt that humans would inadvertently consume a certain number of insects I doubt if it would be any were near a pound a year, except in cultures were it is a part of the diet
On a yearly basis the average person in Europe and North America eats about:
This totals about 400 kg or 880 lb each year, with water in the food this comes to almost 750 kg/yr or 1500 lb/year. However some foods are not likely to contain insects or insect bits (sugar, protein, vegetable oil) so you are left with on the 40 lb of fiber to contain all the "bug bits"
From the Wikipedia article on Entomophagy (eating insects) it would appear that at most there would be a couple of milligrams of insect fragments in any given food per 10 gram sample - say 5mg/10g or 1 part bugs to 2000 parts food.
So, if you live mainly on cereals, breads, candy, peanut butter, and canned fruits and veggies you may get up to 1 lb/yr. A healthier diet will see a lot less.
An aside: Bugs aren't all that bad for you. They are a good source of protein. Many countries have a "bug enhanced" diet. In Europe and North America we happily eat bug derived products like honey, which is after all, just bee vomit.
No, you don't define circumstance and so your question is an invalid one. You need to be more specific. If you said, "On average, does a human being eat 1 pound of insects a day?" it would have been a valid question. The answer to 'that' question is no.
no it wasnt no it wasnt
No. Bugs do not crawl into our mouths while we sleep and the FDA regulates contaminants in our food.
It is true that a person eats about one pound of bugs in a year.
of course not, its on old wive's tale. ;)
it is said to believe that humans eat about one pound of insects every year without even knowing it! But that is just myth!! There is no scientific proof that we eat a pound of insects every year. There are insect pieces in almost all processed foods sold in any grocery store. How much processed food we eat determines how many bugs we eat. YAY!

Yes, sometimes humans can eat 1 pound of insects. This depends on where the person lives, and their choice of diet. Different cultures eat different things.
this is true, we eat at least a pound of insects each year without even knowing! It is usually when we eat cabbage or lettece without cleaning them!
I have heard that before, but I always thought it was ridiculous. But then I read an answer to a similar question on this site, and found out that the insects find their way into processed food. It's not that pounds of insects crawl into your mouth every year while you're asleep, which is what I thought they were talking about when they said people eat pounds of insects a year. Unfortunately, I can't find the question again. Even if it's true, the amount is likely greatly exaggerated. It's probably not anywhere near a whole pound.
Maybe instead of asking questions you should spend some of your time studying grammar as the question is not legible. It should read 'DO Human beings' eat about a pound of insects every year?' Oh and the answer - f*ck knows
yes and it is very good for you
I dont know never want to know and dont care
they are alike in every way because they are the same thing! 'bug' is just a stupider word for 'insect'
I think it's more like 2 pds. Not including rice.
