Certainly not!
If Benzol means Phenol then the formula is C6H5OH
This is a tough question. Virtually every Organic chemistry teacher will say 2....the two Kekule resonance structures. However....that is incorrect. Benzene also has 4 other minor resonance forms. Mathematical calculations, as well as quantum mechanics have shown conclusively that benzene is not 2 sole resonance canonicals....but the Dewar structures as well. My proof is this....the bond order is not 1.5, as predicted....but rather 1.463. Hope this helps. Dr Jim Romano CEO Romano Scientific CEO Orgoman.com
Given enough time, water will dissolve virtually every other substance on Earth.
The boiling point rises and the freezing point lowers. The reason being, when a solute dissolves in a solvent, the solute molecules wedge themselves between the solvent molecules. In order for the solvent to freeze, its molecules have to get close enough together to form a solid. However, the solute molecules are in the way. As a result, it requires much colder temperatures for the solvent molecules to form a solid, despite the hindrance of the solute's molecules. The same sort of thing happens when trying to boil the solvent, only instead of holding the solvent molecules apart, the solute molecules end up holding them together, preventing them from boiling. Therefore, a more energy is needed to break the bond between solvent and solute, which allows the solvent to boil.
No, acids like HCl,HBr,HI do not have Oxygen. But every acid contain Hydrogen.
Carbon in diamond is sp3 hybridized. Every carbon atom is cross-linked in a covalent network. Carbon in fullerenes in sp2 hybridized. The individual buckyballs are soluble as they are not covalently linked to each other. The old axiom of like dissolves like holds. C60 is soluble in a number of nonpolar solvents, such as benzene, toluene, or chloroform.
No. A solvent is something in which a solute will dissolve. Thus water is a solvent and salt is a solute. If one has a solution then the solvent contains the solute but NOT the other way round (as your question asks).
Rub some of their solvent over them. Every glue except epoxy has a solvent.
