The triple point is not really nearer any phase than any other. That's the whole idea is that at that point, it is part solid, part liquid, and part gas.

Difference between triple point and eutectic point?

EUTECTIC point is the lowest possible melting point of a mixture of two substance .wereas TRIPLE point is the condition under which three phases of a substance coexist in eqilibrium.

What is Celsius triple point?

The triple point of a substance is the temperature and pressure at which the three phases (gas, liquid, and solid) of that substance coexist in thermodynamic equilibrium. The triple point of water is 0.01 degrees Celsius and 0.00603659 atm. At that point, all of the substance can be changed into a liquid, solid, or gas by making small changes in temperature and pressure.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triple_point

What happens at triple point?

One interesting use is to define a temperature standard - the triple point of water (or any substance, for that matter) is at a very precise temperature. On the other hand, the melting point or the boiling point depends on pressure. One interesting use is to define a temperature standard - the triple point of water (or any substance, for that matter) is at a very precise temperature.
